Mission Accomplished!!

I AM A WNBF PRO!!! What can I say, it was the kind of day dreams are made of. Every competitor was great to me. I practically felt like I was famous. Checking out the line up, this show was just as big as the Sacramento show. 20 guys going at it for the overall. 7 lightwieghts, 7 middlewieghts, 3 light heavys, and 3 heavys. TOUGH Class, the toughest Natural class I have ever competed in.

During prejudging they moved me right to the middle after the quarter turns. The they posed us and posed us. I knew number 61 was going to be tough. I kept hearing his number called! Soon they had him positioned right next to me. My quads were getting tired and I prayed to God for strength. Then I saw 61 sweating real bad and seeming to rest between poses. It was all I needed, God had answered my prayer. I started hitting the poses FAST, as soon as the judges would call them. Then as soon as they said "relax" I would get right back in my front relaxed hammering the quads. When we hit the pose down there I was, standing right in the middle on top of a number "1" taped to the floor. I went straight to the bathroom, dropped to my knees, and thanked God while I sobbed.

After a nice nap and some time with my brother, I returned for the finals. We have all been there. Wait.....wait.......wait. Talk and talk and talk. The Jan Tana people will always be part of that night for me. For the first time EVER I did not have my wife with me and I was worried about my color. For $35, Kimberly was my angel from God delivering to me what my wife usually does for me, perfect coloring. I did not have to worry about a thing, I was painted, and glazed to perfection without even a care.

I managed to hold back the tears when they announced me as the winner of the middle weight class, but the rivers were yet to flow. I knew I had some room for improvement after the CC show in Sacramento. So I took in about 10g more carbs and 30g more fat than the CC show and I really starting filling out before the final round. I was really generating some energy as we walked on stage for the overall.

Everything was going perfectly as they had me positioned right where I wanted to be. However I will admit I started to panic when they moved me to the far left. WHAT!!! It only motivated me to get moved back and again I started hitting the poses faster and faster. I was determined to get moved back, but they called for the pose down. I knew I was better conditioned than all of them, that was all I heard all night!!! So I wormed my way in and started matching poses to show the judges.

I stood on the end a little less confident, but still sure I would here my number. The anticipation was killing me and I just stood there in my front relaxed with every muscle flexed as hard as I could, trying to keep the positive energy flowing. FINALLY Denise started announcing it and for just a moment, time stood still as I heard that magic number "52" I had done it and the tears started to roll. I let them roll for a second or two as I thanked God, then I took a big breath and composed myself for the picture. But that was all I had, I had to get off stage before I lost it again.

I have been on a high all day. I arrived an three hours early to drop off Chris the Teenage Champ for his flight and I just strolled with a smile all day. God was STILL smiling at me as I was paying for my rental car. I wanted to pay cash as I still had quite a bit left from the sponsor money I was blesses with. The cashier said that would be fine, but they needed exact change as they were did not have a till. The total was $60.65 and I knew I had the $60 and some coin in my pocket from the change I had recieved at the gas station when I filled up. What did I have but 2 quarters, a dime and a nickel.

From the moment I stepped off stage in Sacramento I am certain God was not done with me. It was in his plan to have Berto win the CC show and he knows best. I was OK with that. Then the door opened for me, and it was up to me to step through it. I knew it would be hard, DAMN HARD, but it would be monumental. Nothing monumental is ever easy, or it would not be monumental, so here I am having accomplished my mission. Now I need to use this experience, the knowledge and the blessings along with the recognition as best I can. I must do all I can to get the word out to who ever will listen to me. Here I am, Brad Loomis RKC and WNBF Pro Bodybuilder, I can help anyone and everyone, athlete to housewife, child to grandma, I am waiting and EAGER to help!

As for me and my personal goals? There is no other way to put it, I GOT TO GROW!! I will do a Pro Show, but not any time soon. Growing muscle naturally is a pain staking, slow, arduous process, but it can be done. I am seriously considering doing some competitive power lifting and use the freaky strength you get from Kettlebell Training. I am not willing to pack on a lot of fat in the process though. I am a personal trainer and professional athlete and I will look the part. Six pack abs, ripped shoulders and legs with vascularity throughout must remain. I will allow my body fat to get no higher than 12%, and if it does, I will do more cardio or start measuring my food to get it back down. I will just have to be a ripped power lifter, and I don't really care what I weigh. With the help of Kettlebell training though, my goal is to dead lift 500lbs this year, and 600lbs next year. The squat, I am not sure as it is a weak point for me. 350lbs is the most I have done for reps to date. I have a lot to learn about power lifting, but at this point, that is what I am thinking I need to do to pack on muscle. God has given me a gift, I can get freaky shredded and he has let me know that through all of the incredible people I have met. Now to compete with the Pros, I have to be BIG and freaky shredded.
